An eight-year old girl was allegedly raped by a cab driver inside a vehicle by southern part of the city, police said The man lured the girl a class iii student with chocolate wen she was playing in front of her house in ballygunge park area around 7;30pm on friday .  On hearing the girl screaming, a police patrol team spotted  the car in near by ballygunge phari  and arrested the man who is a neighbor to the victim a police official said . Medical test on the girl has confirmed rape . The man has been charged with abduction and rape as well  as provisions  of the protection by children from sexual offences act, he said
