UNN final year student, murdered by suspected cultist

Nsukka- A final year student of the department of political science, university of Nigeria, Nsukka identified as Mr Joseph Emmanuel, was on wednesday , March 22, murdered by suspected cultist while in his apartment at Ugwoke lodge, Hilltop Nsukka, an off campus accommodation located few meters away from Nsukka main campus of the university .
     The diseased was in company of his friends when the suspected cultist who were three in number, armed with guns and matchetes struck. They gave him several matchete cuts before shooting him twice on the head. One of his friends with him whose identity was not obtained at the time of filling this report was shot at the back but he managed to escape with injuries
         The authorities furtgere gathered that the victim was rushed to the university of Nigeria medical center, immediately the assailants left and was later transfered to Bishop shanahan hospital in Nsukka where he was confirmed dead
         The Enugu state police command public relation officer, PPRO Mr Ebere Amarizu confirmed the incident when contacted, stating a full scale investigation to unravel the circumstances of the dastard act and those behind it has begun.
